Peter Parker is going it alone, no friends, no family, avoiding intimacy and focusing on being the protector of whomever needs it. All the while, he is anguishing over what he has lost. But when a body-jumping villain starts getting too close to his past, he has to start making some tough choices.
This started out slowly and I was just starting to get fidgety when it really took off and barely slowed down and became suddenly amazing. Tom Holland brought new depths to Peter Parker. The Punisher was an interesting choice as a teammate, but they made it work. And Sadie Sink is starting to show what she’s capable of; I look forward to seeing her journey.
I’m not sure that the Hulk was necessary, but it’s always nice seeing the big guy smash.
The special effects were top notch and the action was better realized than most of the super-hero movies lately. The sound track and score were both on-point.
I would highly recommend this one and the kids will probably like it too. There are eight minutes of credits and then a brief post-credit scene that will mean more to comic book readers.
