I wish I could tell y’all some good news, but there ain’t much. The story was vacuous, the direction plodding, the dialog wooden, and the fight scenes left me wishing for John Wick, even the last one. The score did nothing to add to the narrative. The cinematography was average; any good video game could do better.
By the numbers sequence of events, no surprises, no tie-in to the rest of Star Wars and at least three continuity errors that somehow got by. A total waste of time.
Nope, can’t recommend this one. I did not see it in 3-D and I cannot see how that would save it. Thankfully, there are no mid or post credit scenes, so if you didn’t fall asleep, you can scuttle on out as soon as the endless credits (over 14 minutes of them) start rolling.
