When the angry angster finds a lab that makes robots that can house a human mind, (Yeah, they know and they do address that), she steals one of the machina and goes out into the wild to see what trouble she can…er, that is, she goes into the woods to try to find a way to halt the evil project.
First of all, the animation/cinematography is top-notch; it’s Pixar and they do know their stuff. The soundtrack is on point and the score is stirring without being overwhelming. All of the actors voice their characters perfectly, especially Kathy Najimy as Dr. Sam. Lots of laughs to be had and some moments of genuine suspense.
However, the story is a bit stale and even derivative. The outraged adolescent bit needs a rest. And adults might find their suspension of disbelief a bit overstressed. But I think the young kids will be entertained.
I’ll recommend this one. I did not see it in 3-D, so that might help.. There is a mid and post credits scene.
