In order to find out what he can do, the boy gets some help from a fellow adoptee. What the new superhero doesn’t know is that there is a powerful warlock seeking to take his power for himself.
Just about everything works here; it’s funny, sometimes sad and often exciting. Watching Shazam figure out what he can do and the leads all have enormous chemistry. A great soundtrack and superb special effects make this more fun than we deserve. DC, this is how you do it.
My only gripe is that the other foster kinds were not given much depth.
I was enormously entertained, so, I’ll give this a must see. There is a mid-credit scene (after some very entertaining credits) and a post credit scene that is worth waiting for.
