This game is a couple of years old, but since a BIG update is coming soon, I think it’s appropriate for a review of the game so far.

No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky is an action-adventure survival game, where you start next to your crashed starship and have to gather resources to survive. After making sure you can actually not die quickly, you can travel to other planets, meet aliens and make some money. Eventually, you will build bases, improve your equipment and even have some space-battles. Fun, huh?
This game is definitely not for everyone. It can be very slow (I’ve spent hours hoovering minerals to sell to aliens who try to con me out of a fair price) and it can be very confusing. Luckily, there is a lot of online help or I’d have quit in frustration very quickly. There have been some good updates since the launch and I got it on sale for half-price; look out for sales before buying it.
But I want to know who wrote the alien encounters; they are fairly stupid and repetitive.
I’ll give this a mild recommendation. It does have its moments and I have to admit, I have had some fun with it. You might want to wait until later this month, when it gets updated to an MMO type of game.
