When a crew member of a Martian expedition is left behind, his challenge to survive is one problem to solve after another.

This is one gripping and engaging film, with the most gorgeous scenery of a bleak place I have ever seen. Everyone is great and if you like disco (I do), that will only help. Add to that some scenes in space that rival Gravity and you end up with the idea that Ridley Scott still knows how to do space.

I was a little annoyed by some of the science, but I’ll let you figure that out.

I highly recommend this one. There are some scenes into the credits, but nothing after that, so feel free to blast off.

Flytrap rating: 9/10
