A family moves into a house and doesn’t start noticing that things are weird until it’s too late. Isn’t that always the way?

This is not really a remake of the other; although there are some resemblances, the details are different. Different family, different setup; the differences are greater than the similarities. The acting was good, the score was excellent and there were some very good scares. I had good time and that’s what counts. I was able to put the original out of my head and just enjoy the ride.

I’ll recommend this one. I heard the 3D was not that great, so I saw it in 2D. There is a quick scene after some credits, but no other post-credit scenes.

Flytrap rating: 7.5/10
