Variety reports that the Cloak and Dagger TV series is coming to Freeform (formerly ABC Family).
The love story between Tyrone “Ty” Johnson (Cloak) and Tandy Bowen (Dagger) seems like a great fit for the network, although ABC Family had a reputation for quick- canceling series that didn’t perform very well from the get-go (Remember the Middleman?)
Cloak and Dagger were created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan, and first appeared in 1982’s Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #64. This YA story of a couple of runaways who develop superpowers after being subjected to some heinous experimentation should do well, but there is no information on who is developing, writing or starring in this yet, so we’ll wait and see and hope.
