A soldier is sent into the past to save the mother of John Connor from being killed by a cyborg. Things don’t go as planned; they go as weirdly as possible.

This movie is a confusing, silly muddled mess that still manages to be fun for one reason: Arnold Schwarzenegger, who manages to dominate every scene he is in. None of the other actors turn in much of a memorable performance; in fact, most of them are just blah. But Arnie manages to salvage what he can and make this film somewhat watchable.

I’d go see it in a matinee; much easier when you get a discount. There is a mid-credits scene.

Flytrap rating: 6/10
