A group of nerds, assisted by a repurposed medical robot, tech up to fight a faceless villain who has stolen their technology for his own nefarious ends.

This was one fun movie, maybe even close to great, in the spirit of The Incredibles. The robot, Baymax, was well conceived and all of the heroes have hilarious powers that seem somehow to work. The animation was top notch and I’m afraid we might not need actors much longer. In some cases, that might turn out well.

My only complaint is that there were a couple of jarringly slow parts that thankfully did not last long.

Good family fun for everyone. There is a post-credits scene that I would recommend waiting for; the cameo is fantastic.

Flytrap rating: 8.5/10
