The Gifted

Starring: Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes White, Amy Acker, Stephen Moyer, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Blair Redford, Emma Dumont

Playing on Fox Network

Set in an alternate universe, where the X-Men were a thing, and mutants are considered dangerous, a mutant underground is trying to help some mutants escape being imprisoned. Enter a DA and his wife who have just found out that the enemy is their kids.

This is not bad, a rather by-the-book, but still exciting and engaging beginning for this new series. I was happy to see that they did not skimp on the special effects, unlike another premier ***cough Inhumans cough***. I really do like all of the leads, but the bad guys need a little more definition; I assume we’ll see the real Big Bad as the show continues. Good pacing and direction kept the episode moving, with a minimum of whining.

I’ll recommend this one; it’s on the DVR schedule for me. Give it a look and let us know what you think.

Flytrap rating: 7.5/10
