According to Deadline, Gillan has been cast in the lead role of Martha in this sequel to the 1995 original.
The cast already includes Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas and Jack Black, and is being directed by Jake Kasdan.
According to Dwayne Johnson, “For the record, we are not making a reboot, but rather a continuation of an awesome Jumanji story.”
Filming starts in September. So far it is scheduled for release on July 28, 2017.
