NES Classic Edition will hit the shelves on November 11
It will come with 30 games, including Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3, Donkey Kong (yay!), the Legend of Zelda and about 25 more forgettable entries such as Balloon Flight and Ice Climber.
It has an instant save feature that lets you quickly capture and restore your game state, so you can go grab a beer, relieve yourself of said beer, answer the phone and talk to your in-laws or whatever.
I think it’s worth it for Donkey Kong; not sure about Metroid though. It also offers a “pixel perfect” display mode that shows each pixel from the original as a solid color square, instead of a fuzzy blob on modern displays. I’m still waiting on some consumer reviews. I’ll get those to you as soon as I find them.
