After being bitten by the spider and witnessing a plot to scramble the universes, Miles Morales must deal with his developing powers, the imminent threat to the Multiverse, and worse of all, school.

This movie was a lot of fun, especially when watching Miles try to cope with changes to his body (a metaphor for puberty?), a new school, and his father, a cop who hates Spider-Man. Great story with great characters and a score that doesn’t beat you over the head with its own importance.

My one complaint is with some of the animation. Although most of it is top-notch, some of the backgrounds look like they were meant to be in 3-D and was causing me some eye strain.

But overall, I highly recommend this one. The 3-D version might be worth the extra buck$. There is a mostly useless post-credits scene.
