TNT has commissioned a pilot based on the Swedish cult classic from 2008.

Based on the 2004 novel of the same title by John Ajvide Lindqvist, the Swedish horror film was directed by Tomas Alfredson and quickly gained a cult following of rabid fans. Remade in 2010 as Let Me In by Matt Reeves with an American cast and setting, neither film was a smashing success, but were both critically successful. The original was set in Sweden and the remake in New Mexico. This one is to be in Vermont, so lots of chances for some bloody snow.

Now I’m very interested in this, but I see a problem right from the start: the vampire never ages, so anything past one season would be problematic. I see other problems (the creepy relationship between the caretaker and the vampire, the gender questions, etc.) But I’ll be there if it goes through.
