The Crew
Director:Matt Reeves
With his directorial debut for The Pallbearer (which he also co-wrote) Matt moved on to television,
where he helped create Felicity, as well as writing, directing and producing the series. In the interim he
directed other TV shows, such as Homicide: Life on the Street and Relativity. In 2007, he directed the
monster hit (pun intended), Cloverfield. The success of that film got him the unenvious task of trying to
do American justice to a beloved, classic little vampire movie, Låt den rätte komma in.
(I hear he developed
a taste for fake blood at an early age, maybe that helped?)
Did he succeed? I say go see it; you won't be disappointed.
Musical score: Michael Giacchino
Oh yeah, see what he's holding there? It's the Oscar for Up no doubt. But when you've won as many
awards
as he has, what's one more? I'm not sure how he had the time to do the score for Let Me In what with Fringe,
Undercovers and The American Experience, but I'm glad he did. "Perfect", "wonderful" and "awesome" are
words that come to mind to describe the music for this movie, but somehow words seem inadequate.
Just listen and be happy.
The guy who started it all:
John Ajvide Lindqvist
What do you do when your first novel is a runaway best seller, in several languages, all across the world?
How about let's make a film version that becomes an instant classic? A former street magician and stand up
comedian, he finally found his groove as a fantasy novelist. Now if we can just get that sequel...
Other works
include the novel Handling The Undead and Little Star.
Hopefully, we'll get to see some more of his ideas transformed into film.
