Rey has found Luke Skywalker and pleads with him to train her. The Rebels are under attack by the First Order. Lots of other stuff happens.

This is a fair Star Wars entry. It is well-directed and everyone executes their parts quite well. The special effects are almost flawless and there are some great space battles, land and air battles and Jedi-fu. Rey and Skywalker’s scenes are true to the essence of the legend. This was the heart of the movie.

However, the First Order are stereotypical idiots. They do one stupid thing after another and if they win, it’s only because the rebels are worse. And they seem to be. Poe should be courtmartialed and spaced; watch it and tell me if you disagree.

I’ll recommend this one, but it’s not the epic I was hoping for. There are no post credit scenes, so you can Force-Leap outta there and keep about 12 minutes of your life for something else.

Flytrap rating: 7/10
